Who we are

Mothers Recharge is a community-led wellbeing programme designed to support women in the realities of motherhood. At its core, it creates something that is often missing… time and space for women to step away from the constant demands of caregiving and have uninterrupted time for themselves. Motherhood can be physically and emotionally demanding, and many women move through it without consistent support, without space to pause, and without opportunities to receive care themselves.

What we do

We run free flow, 90-minute sessions that combine sauna and cold plunge with space for rest, reflection, and connection. The sessions are intentionally designed to give women time that is theirs; whether that means being in silence, connecting with others, or simply having a moment to breathe without responsibility. While the foundation of the work is centred around uninterrupted time, we also recognise that not all mothers have access to childcare. For this reason, sessions include baby-friendly options, allowing more women to attend while maintaining the integrity of the space.

Why it matters

There is a growing gap in how mothers are supported. Much of the focus is placed on the baby, while the wellbeing of the mother is often overlooked or treated as secondary. At the same time, many existing spaces for support are not accessible, consistent, or designed with the realities of motherhood in mind.

Mothers Recharge addresses this by creating spaces that are:

  • Consistent and reliable

  • Community-led and relationship-based

  • Accessible to women with and without childcare

  • Focused on both emotional and physical wellbeing

Impact

The programme has grown organically through word of mouth and repeat attendance, with sessions consistently reaching capacity and developing into a strong, returning community.

The impact extends beyond the session, contributing to:

  • reduced isolation

  • improved wellbeing

  • stronger community networks among mothers

Looking ahead

Mothers Recharge is continuing to expand, with growing demand and interest in bringing the programme to new spaces.

Future development is focused on:

  • increasing access for underserved and underrepresented mothers

  • building partnerships with community organisations and wellbeing spaces

  • securing funding to support long-term sustainability and reach

Founder’s Story

Mothers Recharge was created from my own experience of becoming a mother for the first time.

I found that while so much attention is placed on the baby, there are very few spaces that truly support the mother.
Not just in caring for others, but in being cared for herself.

I was looking for somewhere I could pause, be around other mothers, and feel understood.

At the same time, I noticed how much relationships can shift in motherhood, and how important it becomes to find people who truly understand that stage of life.

The more I spoke to other mothers, the clearer it became that this wasn’t just my experience.

Mothers Recharge came from that need.

It brings together rest, physical reset, and connection in one space.
Something that is rarely offered in a way that feels accessible or consistent.

It creates a place to meet other mothers, to share experiences, swap stories, and feel less alone.

What started simply has grown into something women return to week after week.

This is about creating a village where women can be supported and take time for themselves.
